Beatrice Weder Di Mauro

Beatrice Weder di Mauro, Board Member, is a Professor of International Economics at The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland. Ms Weder di Mauro is the President of CEPR, the leading European network of economists, and Research Professor and Distinguished Fellow at the Emerging Markets Institute of INSEAD. She is also an independent director of Bosch and serves as adviser to several governments, supranational institutions, international organisations and central banks.
Ms Weder di Mauro joined the International Monetary Fund as an economist in 1994 and held other various academic positions before becoming Chair for International Macroeconomics at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, Germany in 2001. From 2004 to 2012 she was a member on the German Council of Economic Experts. She has also been in a visiting position at Harvard University, the National Bureau of Economic Research and the United National University in Tokyo, Japan.
Ms Weder di Mauro received a Doctorate in Economics in 1993 and Habilitation in Economics in 1999.
